Baier's Engine Service was founded in 1975 in a home garage. Since that time, it has become one of southern Minnesota’s most complete machine shops. We are able to completely machine most engines in house. From small single cylinder engines up to light and medium duty diesels. From stock to all out performance we accept the challenge. WISSOTA, IMCA, NHRA, IHRA, NASCAR: these are just a few of the sanctioning bodies that have had our engines run in.
We are capable of completing your engine project from carb to pan and anything in between. Restoration or Race engine, maybe a combination of both, we can do it.

Cylinder Blocks
Boring and Honing, Decking, Line Boring and Honing, Splayed cap installation, Plug decks, Sleeve installation, Dart Little M Block lightening, cam bearing repair and installation, Sonic testing, Lifter bore truing, deck o-ringing, Darton Sleeve kit machining and stroker clearancing to name a few.
Cylinder Heads
Valve Jobs performance and standard, magnafluxing, pressure testing, resurfacing flat and angle milling, valve guide and liner installation, valve seat installation, machining for screw in studs, drilling steam holes, porting and polishing and Superflow flow testing just to name a few things we can do with your heads.
Crankshafts
Balancing, regrinding, wet magnaflux and offset grinding for adding stroke etc.
Connecting Rods
Resizing, Installing Performance rod bolts, Installing pin bushings and wet magnafluxing just to name a few.
Nitrous Oxide
We are a refill station for Ny-trous Brand nitrous oxide and are usually able to refill your bottles while you wait.
